Apple Maps at this time shows DOT legal set speed limits not the actual speed of the vehicle. Just to remind readers if the Waze app working on an iPhone any model works perfectly on its own! So the bridge (usb) connected to CarPlay shows the vehicle speed in my case on our Ford 150 and my wife’s Escort 10mph over actual.
My GPS all of a sudden doesn't work for Waze. It works for my regular maps app. I will get "Seeking GPS. Trying going outdoors" or "No GPS. Showing approximate location." I am traveling the same routes as always but no matter where I go, I get this. I have the Samsung Galaxy G5Any suggestions? Traveling today and would really like this

Waze is a popular maps app, now owned by Google, that describes itself as a community-driven GPS navigation app. Waze is unlike many other maps apps because it uses user-submitted travel times and Waze follows the CarPlay handling of night and day colour schemes. There is no specific dark mode additional settings for Waze in CarPlay. Dark mode etc only applies to the app. They actually did fix map colour scheme handling a few months ago. It was stuck showing night colours all the time on ford sync systems and other cars.
This GPS handshake is presumably the cause of some location issues. On your phone, open your app drawer and long-tap the Google Maps icon. Tap App info or the info button. Find Permissions and tap
